I am 65 and am in a new Chapter of my life where I finally get to take time for me and follow my passions and interests. In this stage I have also struggled with changing body image which is hard!

 In November I went to Minnesota to attend a photography workshop put on by an award winning photographer that I love named Anne Marie. Her workshop was incredibly inspiring. At the end of the workshop  I was telling Annie about how I wanted to be photographed with an old-fashioned camera. Without hesitation, she said,  "Let's do it!" I also thought it would be a good idea to put myself in my clients shoes and try the other side of the camera.  So I agreed. Annie encouraged me to try a few things and the image you see here is just one of a few that I loved.  I had no expectations of looking good in the photos because at my age, and I am very conscious of every bump and wrinkle.   In four words.... it changed my life! I love this portrait ! Looking at it makes me feel empowered, alive, and proud of the older woman laughing back at me from the print.  I believe it captures who I am at this time in my life;  an aging woman still embracing life and the younger woman who is still in there trying to hold on to it all.

Before I left her workshop,  Annie Marie shared her Ageless Beauty Project with me, and I was hooked!! Obsessed!! I came home and decided to find a way to share what I had experienced with other women. My time with Annie was one I will not soon forget.
